Banking big HSBC has named John Flint, present head of retail banking and wealth administration, as its new boss.

Mr Flint, who takes over from outgoing chief government Stuart Gulliver, will begin his new function subsequent February.

The transfer sees Europe’s greatest financial institution as soon as once more promote an organization insider to run the agency.

The appointment is the primary large choice by the financial institution’s new chairman, ex-AIA Group boss Mark Tucker, who joined HSBC at first of this month.
