British synthetic intelligence researcher Demis Hassabis has been recognised on the New 12 months Honours checklist.

Mr Hassabis is chief government of DeepMind, which has developed software program that may beat human consultants on the advanced board recreation Go.

He was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for “companies to science and expertise”.

He stated he was “very proud” of his workforce at DeepMind.
